Summary

• Industry-leading complex metal forming firm is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a growing team.
• Manufacturer of metal components and welded assemblies for the aerospace and power generation industries
• Well-established history of continuous improvement in all areas of engineering, forming, bending, welding, machining, waterjet and assembly

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collect data required to recommend and implement improvements
• Lead supplier performance evaluations and supplier development
• Apply process control techniques to monitor and improve processes
• Participate in the sourcing, purchasing and commissioning of equipment
• Investigate and troubleshoot process problems
• Ensuring that equipment and tooling works to its specification and capacities
• Assess safety and environmental issues
• Liaising with other technical and production personnel
• Provide quality procedure training to production staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Proficient in conducting internal quality system audits per ISO 9001/AS91000 and NADCAP requirements
• Experience with machined, formed, and welded metal components
• Current or previous experience supplying to the aerospace or power generation industries
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross-functional teams
• Significant experience working directly with customers and suppliers
